2004 Goat Cup Tournament
The 2004 Wizzes Goat Cup Tournament will begin in February. In this
Tournament, Wizzes resume a mortal persona and fight each other to the death for
the honor of becoming this year's Goat Cup Champion. This year's Goat Cup will
be conducted in 3 Rounds: the Qualifying Round, the Semifinal Round, and the
Final Round. An Open Round will also be conducted.
All players are invited to watch the Tournament! If you would like to watch
your favorite (or not-so-favorite) wizzes take on their fellow Contestants,
please review the schedule of fighting.
The Goat Cup Tournament is conducted under strict rules for the Contestants
to ensure a fair test of ability. To this end, spectators are also required to
observe certain rules. Please read and become familiar with the following
requirements of Mortal Spectators. Any Mortal not following the stated Rules
will be ejected from the Tournament promptly.
Rules for Mortal Spectators
- Mortals will be required to stay in the King's Treasure Chamber in the
Dwarfen Citadel during the Rounds. The Official Announcer will summon
Mortals who wish to watch the Tournament and give them play-by-play.
- Mortals are not permitted to interact in ANY way with the contestants.
This includes shouting and private conversations. Mortals are also
prohibited from speaking with wizzes other than the Official Announcer
assigned to give them the play-by-play of the fights. The Announcer will
notify Mortals that shouting, or engaging in any other disruptive activity
will result in a ban. The Official Announcer and/or the Goat Cup Judge
enforce such bans as needed. An opportunity to congratulate the winner will
be given at the conclusion of the fighting.
- Mortals who do not wish to watch the Tournament will be invited to
return to MUD/British Legends at a later time. Mortals may not play during
the Tournament. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this causes
you; however, please keep in mind that the Goat Cup Tournament occurs only
once a year and will provide some rousing entertainment for those choosing
to watch!
Thank you,
